Below is a sequence of photos taken by Milan of the second Running of the Bulls.   To play the photo sequence from start to finish, run the mouse over the first row from left to right, the second row from right to left, etc.   Click on each small photo for the corresponding high-resolution image.

At least two interesting events transpire in the sequence above, both of which involve runners who become evident in the third photo from the left in the first row.   Notice the man in the middle center right with both hands raised and then look at man at his feet to the left.   The man with his hands raised has a bull behind him, head lowered, about to throw him into the corner.   Meanwhile, the man at his feet does a complete flip on the pavement.   If you look closely, you will see that the flipped man holds a camera in his right hand.   Cameras are strictly forbidden to the runners, and the police would eject such a runner if he were discovered before the run.   This is only one of the rules enforced by the police.   In general, the rules mandate that the runners must be equipped to run (proper shoes) and that they cannot carry anything with them that will distract them or other participants during the run.   You will occasionally see runners carrying rolled-up newspapers, which they use to pester and/or vainly fend off the bulls.
